After working within schools for over 20 years and watching too many young people and passionate staff struggle with the increased demands and lack of balance, my desire to support the mental health and wellbeing of staff and students grew.

Wellness leads to quality learning, quality relationships, joy and resilience.

Wellness alongside positive education, value based learning and a positive mindset, create confident young people & confident, passionate teachers who are set to thrive.

Having led mediation in schools within pastoral care programs and the mainstream classroom for over 12 years, I have seen the benefit of meditation. Pilot studies conducted in a Sydney Secondary College across 2016 & 2017 documented the impact a regular breath centred practice had on staff and students. 7 minutes of conscious breathing a day for a minimum of 3 days a week highlighted significant improvements on wellbeing, learning and most importantly calm and resilient students and teachers.

Imagine if schools were stopping for 5 - 7minutes of conscious breath every day!

The training and workshops closely align with the visions of NSW Department of Education, Wellbeing Framework & Sydney Catholic Schools, Wellbeing and Pastoral Care Policy. We support the objectives of the NSSF and The Australian Student Wellbeing Framework.

Studies on mindfulness meditation & neuroscience studies show that deep belly breathing and conscious breathing can have the following effects on our body and mind:

Raising Calm Connected Kids

Does your child see the world differently to you? Are you wanting to support your child to navigate their world with calm confidence?

Our children are deeply connected, they often see, feel and know more than we realise. Children do not always see the world with our eyes.

So how can you support them to live empowered with calm confidence?

I was that child, the one that experienced the world with very different eyes than my parents. I have lived seeing and sensing the world with intensity and have discovered how to navigate these experiences with ease and grace. Communication is a powerful key that is essential for wellbeing. When we feel our self expression is locked up in some way, our energy becomes restricted and this can lead to physical. emotional, mental or spiritual dis- ease. As parents, nurturers and pivotal people in the lives of our young people we hold a powerful role as space holders. We are called to hold a positive vibration, create safety, security and nourishment in the home and beyond.

It is essential that today’s young people feel supported to express themselves, enquire and navigate this world in calm communication, with solid foundations and a higher perspective.

Coaching sessions are held for individuals, parents and young people to live in calm confidence, growing together.

Who is guiding you:

Hi I am Carolyn Hickey I have 18 years as an educator and wellbeing leader supporting young people, teachers & parents within the secondary school system and in my wider community. I originally trained as teacher of english, drama & religion before specialising in wellbeing and pastoral care. I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Leadership specialising in Wellbeing and have led self empowerment initiatives within schools for over 10 years. I have developed successful programs and pilot studies on the benefits of regular breath centred meditation in schools to support stress management, wellbeing, self confidence, balance and learning.

I love being a teacher, I enjoy seeing the children grow, proper and flourish. I appreciate the power of positive education, experiential learning and the importance of exploration and play as pathways to this flow state.

At my core I am also that intuitive child that had to learn to navigate the world seeing and sensing more than most. I suffered chronic migraines from the age of 9 through to 26 as my natural gifts activated, though I struggled to process all the energy.

Today I can confidently say I am a born intuitive, channel and energy worker. I have been communicating with spirit for as long as I can remember. It has been a long journey of acceptance that began at the age of 6 years old, continued through my teens and developed in clarity with my true acknowledgment in my mid-twenties.

Now more than ever I am being asked to share these gifts with you in the hope that I can support you, both parents and children, to unlock these unique gifts and share with you my tools that support calm confidence as you embrace your higher senses.
