I frequently call upon the breath centred meditation skills that I was taught by Carolyn, to help me deal with challenging situations, whether it be to regulate my emotions during confrontations with reactive individuals, or simply to breathe through physical discomfort whilst sitting in the dentist chair. Having this awareness enhances my response.

As an educator, I support students with a wide range of diverse needs, of physical and/or neurological nature. I often impart those meditation techniques learned to my students to benefit them with self-empowerment. Encouraging them to exercise mindful awareness helps them to build resilience & gives them a tool to improve confidence and enhance their general wellbeing.”

In January 2019, I began to incorporate mindfulness meditation into my routine. I found that meditation has significantly improved many aspects of my life, especially with the demands of a busy work life. I have found that meditation with a focus on breathing has helped me to be more present and has changed the way I respond to stressful situations. A focus on the breath and the body helps me to distance myself from worrying thoughts and it has helped me to approach difficult tasks with a calmer mind. Meditation practices allow me to live each day comfortably.
